| Resumen: | La Actividad Emprendedora es un activo que propicia la generación de riqueza, creación de empleo y riqueza en la sociedad, por lo que se debe configurar un marco y un entorno que propicien y favorezcan el espíritu empresarial, tanto en lo referente a nuevos proyectos como el desarrollo en empresas ya existentes. Dicha actividad debe estar basada en varios pilares que conforman un todo, para que desde la creación de una cultura emprendedora en los primeros niveles educativos, se genere un caldo de cultivo que lleve a la consideración del emprendizaje como una seria alternativa en el ámbito personal y profesional. El soporte financiero a la actividad emprendedora constituye un pilar básico para la iniciación de nuevos proyectos empresariales, especialmente en sus comienzos, donde instrumentos como el Venture Capital pueden desempeñar un papel decisivo como alternativa de financiación a su nacimiento inicial, y desarrollo y expansión posteriores. |

| Resumen: | What are the characteristics of good co-operation between an entrepreneur and a venture capitalist? In this study the aim is to describe and analyse the relations between small firms owned by venture capital companies and venture capital companies in Sweden. The venture capital companies could be classified in four configurations; operations-oriented, consultancy-oriented, structure-oriented and mentor-oriented companies. The configurations reflect two dimensions in the co-operation, namely the character of operational work and the intensity of interaction. The results show among other thing that those configurations which worked ’actively’ with their portforlio firms appear to provide resources to a greater extent than the more ’passive’ companies. Furthermore, ’continuous’ interaction between the entrepreneur and the venture capitalist seems to be important for the result of the portfolio firm |
